Yellow Butterflies: A Tribute

Here's a set of ATCs made for a swap titled "Yellow Butterflies: A Tribute"

I was playing around with some water color paints, oil pastels and markers, stamps and fabric. I'm not using the water colors correctly or maybe I'm using the wrong paper, I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. I think the colors are coming on to thick. The water color paint was from a tube and I added the colors to a tray and mixed with water. I guess I'm going to need a lot more practice with them to figure it out.

    1. I think you're right. I've been adding more water and it seems to be working better. I bought my water colors in a tube, and purchased the divider water color case with cover and squeezed the watercolor into the case wet it and used it. I noticed that each time it dries it is drying flatter and the color is mixing better. I actually did a page in my small journal and the background came out nice. Now I just need to learn how to paint something other than a background. LOL.
