Made it Myself Monday Linky Party Week 6

Happy Monday! I can't believe it is Made it Myself Monday Week 6 already. Where does the time go?

If you would like to link along with us and post your project just click the link below and and say hello to Alex. There you will find all the instructions to post your project and the link to all the projects that have been posted.

This week I made a paper bag mini album for a co-workers daughter who got a new puppy. I added more pages than I normally would but she also has two other dogs and I'm sure they will make it in the book too. I left lots of space for her to add her pictures and journaling. The pockets are extra roomy so she can put lots in them.

I made another project this weekend but I'm going to save it for next weeks post. Don't for get to link up your projects I'd love to see what you have been working on. Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Made it Myself Monday Linky Party Week 5

Good Morning All My Crafty Friends,
Welcome back for another Made it Myself Monday Linky Party. Just a quick thanks to Alex for arranging this for us. If you would like to participate you can by clicking the below link and linking up your project.

So you know how most crafters hate to throw things aways because we know we can always find a use for it later on, well that's where my project comes in. I had some ribbon that had the wire on the edges. I took the wire out because I didn't want the ribbon to be stiff and I didn't want to throw it out so I was thinking what could I do with it. Here's what I came up with.

I made a beaded flower. Not bad for my first try. The petals are not all the same size but the more I look at it the more I like them all different. I think I may be making more of these and using them as embellishments for my mini albums and my layouts. Quick dry 450 will hold this for the mini albums and a glue dot should work fine on a layout. The only materials I used was a piece of wire, seed beads, and a button. After looking at the flower I might just add another smaller button on top of this one to cover the wire.

Please leave a comment and be sure to link up your project. Hope everyone has a great week of crafting!
See you all next week for another Made It Myself Monday!

Made it Myself Monday Linky Party Week 4

Welcome back to another Made it Myself Monday. If you would like to participate with this link up party Alex has all the details at http://www.youhadmeatcraft.com

My project this week is a two page layout of my weekend getaway.

We will be going back for another weekend in Oct. I can't wait to get pictures with the fall foliage. This is such a pretty area. Cathedral of the Pines http://www.cathedralofthepines.org/ is about 5 miles from the cottage. Situated on a hilltop with a panoramic view of the Grand Monadnock, the Cathedral of the Pines is a breathtaking open-air cathedral and meeting space on 236 acres. Great spot for picture taking.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to link to over to Alex http://www.youhadmeatcraft.com and see all the great projects by all the talented crafters for this weeks Made it Myself Monday. Please leave a comment, I would love to hear what you have to say.

Royal Purple Freedom Hop

Welcome to my blog.

This is my very first Blog Hop I'm participating in and I'm super excited about it. I hope I'm doing all this right, but if not, please excuse any goof ups along the way.

You should have came over from http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com/ but if you happened to just be passing through and would like to start at the beginning you can start here http://faithfulecreations.com/

On to my project....

* A2 Card
* Decorative Paper from Creative Memories
* Flower Stamp
* Sakura Gelly Roll Pens
* Smooch
* Glossy Accents
* Shimmer Fabric Butterfly

This Blog Hop is to raise awareness on Domestic Violence, raise money for the Bradley Angle House and to provide hope to the victims.

    About 4.8 million intimate partner-related physical assaults and rapes occur every year while many more assaults and rapes go unreported entirely. Over 3 million children witness violence in their home each year and those who see and hear violence in the home suffer physically and emotionally. These statistics are sad and overwhelming, but help IS out there for those that choose to break the silence.   Together we can make a difference! Help us instill some hope where very little probably exists and give 24 families a chance at recovery when we are able to donate 1k dollars to the Bradley Angle House.
   Your purple themed card(s) with a hope filled message inside could make all the difference, not to mention give YOU a chance to win the grand prize for this hop...what is it you ask?  A prize basket valued at more than $100.   Want more chances to win the grand prize?  Additional entries will be given for each $1 donation you include with your card.  Would you prefer 1 entry, 10 entries, or is 100 entries more of what you had in mind?  It's all up to you!
Cards must be postmarked by June 30th for inclusion in basket drawings and can be mailed to the following address: Royal Purple Hop c/o Vicki Smith P.O. Box 1496 Millbrook, NY 12545

25th Anniversary Squash Book

So

So today I suggested KFC for lunch. I had this plan in mind to make a pit stop at Wiggles & Giggles (a local scrapbook store). Two of my co-workers Hillary and Eileen both agreed to KFC.  When I suggested we  make a short pit stop to Wiggles & Giggles (local scrapbook store). Hillary said Oh, No! It will not be a short pit stop with you in that store but agreed to go. Well little did I know they had a plan, They had asked what I needed on the ride over to the store. I told them I need to make a 25th anniversary album for my sister-in-law & brother-in-law and a graduation card for my nephew. I thought I would stroll around and see what I could find, look at any new items that came in etc. I walked right back to the paper section and as I was looking for shiny silver paper for the album when the two of them come over had every graduation sticker, paper, embellishment the store had along with 25th anniversary stickers, papers etc. I was still looking at the shiny papers. I didn't even know what happened. We were in and out of Wiggles & Giggles faster than it took for the three of us to get our KFC. Who knew that would ever happen and I still spent $27.00. I'll be sure to go alone next time : )

When I got home I worked on the squash book and think it came out pretty good. It's my favorite style of album. Now all I have to do is get two gifts cards to add to it and I'm all set.
