My First Attempt At Quilling

I think I need a bit more practice. I have to figure a better way to glue the pieces down and how to get my rolling more unified. I guess that will come with practice. If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Lori welcome to the joy of quilling! Your pieces look fairly uniform. You can use a circle sizer if you are particular to get uniform sizes and just use a tiny bit of white glue at the back and the glue wont show through. I think it looks lovely especially the green leaves.

  2. Thanks so much for the tip. Maybe if i place some glue on another paper and just dip my quilling paper in the glue I wont have so much run off. I'll keep you posted.

  3. Not bad at all for the first attempt. Practice will certainly make you perfect. It just requires loads of patience.
Thanks for the blog award you passed on to me @Aug. I just found it as a spam msg. in my thrash. Will post it as soon as I get back to blogging. Have been very busy lately with guests & kids.
    Happy Quilling!
See this post on my blog with links to some of my first quilled projects & a link to a quiller who inspired me.
