Wendy's Wedding Album

So I needed to make a wedding mini album for a friend. Now she is very much into animal print so everything she has has some type of animal print on it. Her wedding will be taking place on the beach in a tropical setting. Her colors were green and orange.  So here's what I came up with. I hope she likes it. Some of the papers and flowers are looking yellow in the pictures but they are actually orange.

I So Want to Go Back!

This time last year I was at Cape Cod for the weekend. We spent the days walking on the beach, sitting in the sun, listening to the ocean and just relaxing. The weather went from sunny and warm, to overcast and windy, then to rainy and cold. At least the cold was later in the day on Sat and the rain came on Sunday for the ride home. when I wasn't on the beach I was scrapbooking. I made this entire album except for the last couple of pages while I was there. I so want to go back. I don't think I can wait till SEPTEMBER : (     This was Cody's first time at the ocean. He liked walking where the sand was wet but didn't like the water when the waves came in and got him wet. I think he looked so cute with his t-shirt and hoody. Had to keep him from getting sunburned and cold. I don't think he wanted to leave because he had such a sad face when we put him in the car to head home.

Black & White Squash Book with Pops of Color

This weekend I took a break from all the projects I am doing for everyone and decided to make another squash book. I purchased two packs of scrapbook paper from LTD Commodities. The paper is very thin and would not be really good for page layouts but works very well for this type application. Because the paper is thin it keeps the squash book for getting to bulky. When you put it on a solid background it looks ok but would not work so well if you used a printed background base because you can see through this paper. I then used my large and small scallop circle punch for the journal cards and accented them with a flower punch  from Creative Memories and added a black bead drop to the center. Then I just added dots from color markers for the border of the punches. I colored in a few spots on the paper with a matching colored marker.   Leave a comment and let me know what you think. One of My Favorite Layouts

This is one of my favorite layouts. I tried this four years on one page and really like the way it came out. Thought I might share this idea. Hope you like it.

Today's Haul

Today I went on the Wiggles & Giggles Spring Bus Run with Tammy, Kaja, Claudine & Robin. We started off at Wiggles & Giggles in Wethersfield then to Papercraft Clubhouse in Westport, Inspiration Station in Stafford Springs, New England Scrapbook Co. in Canton and then back to Wiggles & Giggles. Each store had friendly hosts ready to help and answer questions.
