Made It Myself Monday Week 9

Hello Again,
Here's another week of Made It Myself Monday hosted by Alex from "You Had Me At Craft". If you would like to link up with all of us and show your creations here's the link for you.

My goal this week was to use up all my leftover baby yarn. I had just enough to make a small crocheted afghan that measures 22" x 33".
Thanks for checking out my project this week. I would love it if you left a comment. If you get a chance hop on over to "You Had Me At Craft" and check out all the other projects that everyone has been working on for this week. Remember to leave a comment for them as well.

Until Next Time - Hope Everyone Has A Crafty Week!

Made it Myself Monday Linky Party Week 8

Good Morning,
This week I did another Squash Book for my project. One day I will catch up on all my squash book orders and can attempt to try a different project but I keep getting orders and have to get them done.
I'd like to thank Alex for hosting another week of this link up party.

Now on to my project.

I was asked to make a squash book as part of a birthday gift. A friends daughter and friend was in the Dance America Nationals in Chicago. This was their first national competition and they placed 5th so they were very excited. The theme colors are black, purple and silver. For the purple paper I added little swirls in black. On the black paper I wrote and repeated the songs they danced to. They had top hats with white feathers so that's where the white feather comes in. I left pleanty of room to add pictures and journaling.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you. If you stop by any of the blogs from the link up party please leave a comment for them as well. Everyone works so hard on their projects and loves to get the comments.

Really Cool

I was watching the Scrapbook Showgram with Sandi Genovese http://scrapbookshowgram.com/ and her project this week was a mini scrapbook. Two of the pictures she was using had fun effects. She said the site that was used to make the photo effects is free. It's called Befunky.com http://www.befunky.com/ . I am so excited about this. I tried it on one of my photos and it really works. There's noting to download or install and it does not effect your original photo. You just choose your picture, choose the effect you want and save it. It's that simple. I used the cartoon effect for the below picture.

The Picture Using The Cartoon Effect

I would love to see any of your pictures using the photo effects. If you put any of them on your blog just  comment and leave your blog address and I'll stop by to have a look. Hope you have fun altering your photos.

Thanks for stopping by.

Made it Myself Monday Week 7

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by to see my newest project. I finished it last night just in time for this mornings post. I did another Squash Book. This time the theme was Betty Boop.
I used iron on patches and material for this book along with plain scrapbooking paper. I couldn't find Betty Boop paper anywhere. I chose the colors to match the iron ons. Once I got the base done I didn't think the colors where going to work but as I started decorating it everything came together.

If you would like to add your project to the line up this week just visit Alex @ You Had me At Craft.

Thanks again for stopping by. Please leave a comment, I love reading what you have to say.
